Everybody gets in a bad mood sometimes.  It’s just part of being human

However, since bad moods can prevent us from happiness and fulfillment, from getting things done and from enjoying life, it’s helpful if we know some effective techniques to turn around a bad mood.

The following are six ways I use all the time to turn my mood around.

1. Smile.
Smiling actually changes the way the brain functions and stops negative neural pathways. And strengthens the brain’s ability to keep a positive outlook.

Smiling alone makes you feel better.  And, when your smile is aimed at another, they’re more likely to smile back and the happy faces spread.

Two:  Yawn
Yawning is an amazing tool for the reason that so many beneficial things happen.  it lowers your stress level, relaxes your body and enhances pleasure and sensuality.

Just open your mouth wide and induce a yawn.  Try it now!

Three:  Say Yes!
When you say yes, it automatically puts you in a more positive state of mind.

Counting on your fingers, thing of ten questions you can ask yourself with an answer of “yes”.  Start out easy, for example, Am I asking myself a question?  Say, “yes!”

As you progress, get more animated, and ask questions that make you feel happier and empowered.

#4 Appreciation
Start by taking a look around decide on a single thing you feel appreciation for. Come up with one reason you feel appreciation for it.  Next think of another reason you appreciate it.  And another, and another.

Then move on to another object.  You can do this any time, anywhere.

#5 Tapping
Your body’s system of energy can get stuck in an emotional state and a pattern of thinking.

Tapping stress points, some of the ones acupuncturists use, can clear the negative pattern and enable good thoughts and feelings to return naturally.

This easy-to-learn technique is known as EFT tapping.  You can learn tapping therapy in as little as 10 minutes with this free EFT manual and you may want to watch the one-minute YouTube EFT video at the top of this page.

Six:  If I did feel happy…
If you’re in a pretty bad mood to start with, it’s pretty difficult to go from low to high in a single leap.  Try this.

You can either do this internally, out loud or by writing.  Begin by saying, If I felt happy right now, I might be happy about…”  and finish the sentence.

Keep saying the same thing, completing your sentence with things you could feel good about.

In no time at all, your bad mood will turn around.

Let these six mood-changing methods bring more good moods into your life.
